“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you, on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20 NASB20).

 The question is, “Are you a tourist, or are you an ambassador?”

A tourist makes a tour for the pleasure of culture. The tourist wants an experience. For many Christians, particularly consumer Christians, their expectation for their faith revolves around the benefits they can expect.

What are the benefits of being a Christian? How does this Christian life benefit me?  Many Christians shop around for a church based on what it can do for them or their family.  A consumer Christian asks how God can fit into THEIR lives and become a part of THEIR story.  This is the attitude of a tourist.  An ambassador understands their purpose is to represent something and someone greater than themselves. 

We are part of God’s story and ambassadors of HIS Kingdom.  Let’s represent him well
