As Christians, we represent Christ in public and everywhere we are in the world. But what we do in secret determines how we live in public.  What happens behind closed doors is how we build ourselves and how we operate in private. 

David had a powerful public moment when he fought Goliath.  David had been preparing himself in secret. On the backside of the hill while caring for the sheep, he learned to hear from God. He prayed and played instruments in worship to God.  His secret life prepared him for his public display of faith. 

Jesus said, Your father who sees you in secret will reward you openly or publicly.
