Representing Christ well in the workplace requires consistency between a person’s private and public lives. As Jesus taught, what a person does in secret will be rewarded by God the Father (Matthew 6:4).
Five Spiritual Life Priorities:
1. Spiritual Fitness – Rhythms with Accountability.
2. Balance – Plan for personal growth and development.
3. Duplication – Family, Spiritual, Ministry.
4. Personal Ministry – Life on life.
5. Public Ministry – Excellence in your craft.
Balance. It would be best to think of your life like a corporation that consists of multiple departments: the family department, the health department, the financial department, the educational department, etc. Ideally, each department has a written plan with its stated objective and the steps needed for its attainment. Intentionality is necessary for each life-department and between life-departments is a need for balance.
Balance limits areas of weakness that can be exploited by competitors, or in the case of our actual lives, by our enemy the devil. Ephesians 4:27 warns us not to give the devil an opportunity.
Balance limits the possibility of being attacked in areas of our lives where we are weak. So grow in all areas of your life. Satan would love to make you a public disgrace so you won’t have any influence in impacting others with the gospel.
