“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, [this person is] a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all [these] things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin [to be] sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2Corinthians 5:17-21 NASB20)
The Bible says that as a Christ follower, you have been grafted into the vine that is Christ. We are in the world, but we are not of the world.
As you go out into the workplace, know that you are in that workplace as Christ’s representative. There may not be a believer in sight, but you need to remember that you are in Christ. You may find yourself in an environment hostile to the things of God, but remember you are in the Messiah.
You are a new creation, a new creature altogether; you have been made new in Christ. The old, previous moral and spiritual conditions are gone. As you enter the workplace, affirming that you are a new creation in Christ is important. By what you say and what you do, your aim is to bring others into harmony with Him. This is your calling.
